café 29

About the Owner
Cindie Feldman, Owner/ Chef of café 29 is a lifelong “foodie”.
Her love of cooking started as a young girl when she would be sent to make the meatloaf for Sunday dinner and she would be aching to just add a little something more.
Cindie worked for one of the largest restaurants in the Lehigh Valley from 1990-2000. She started out as a server/bartender and soon found that she thrived in the chaos
of the restaurant business. Under some excellent mentorship and with much hard work she soon found herself in management, leading then to a Regional Training Center General
Manager position at a 400 seat restaurant. After her second son began school, she decided to give up the grueling hours required to successfully maintain a staff and a
restaurant of this size. She moved on to work for Meyer Jabara Hotels at both the Holiday Inn Conference Center and the Sheraton Jetport in catering sales. Cindie worked
with everything from fortune 500 companies to many brides and non-profit groups. Wedding planning, theme and menu design, corporate lunches, conferences, bars and bat-mizvahs
were only a few of the types of events she was responsible for. Again, with amazing leadership examples, she was fortunate enough to have some of the best training available.
Her last stop before café 29 was to work for the largest food service purveyor in the country, Sysco Foods. Cindie worked with area restaurants on a daily
and weekly basis to help to provide the freshest ingredients and the cutting edge ideas that are needed to succeed in the industry. Cindie resides in Macungie with her husband
Kevin and her sons Nick and Marc.
